Although we have said that summertime in London can be beautiful, the weather can also be unpredictable. If you happen to come across a rainy day when visiting you will want to be sure that you can find enough to keep you busy without having to be out in the wet weather all day. Just a short walk (or bus / taxi ride) from our hotel is the museum district of London. Here you will find many museums and places to spend a whole day at a time. 2 of the most famous are the Natural History and the Science museum. Both are free to get into and have plenty to see.
When packing to visit London in the summer you need to come prepared for all possibilities. We recommend having a small umbrella in your bag at all times in case of rain but also dressing in layers so that you can easily add or remove them as the weather changes. London can sometimes have all 4 seasons in one day so flexibility is key to enjoying your visit, as is having a list of both indoor and outdoor attractions that you want to visit so that you can choose which to spend time at depending on the weather.
London is a beautiful city to visit and if you choose to base yourself at the Amsterdam Hotel in Earls Court you will be perfectly positioned to enjoy all that it has to offer throughout the summer, whatever the weather.
